Does Insurance Cover Neurofeedback?
Our team is frequently asked if the qEEG brain map and/or neurofeedback is covered by insurance? The short (and long) answer is: it depends on your specific plan.
While SYMMETRY Neuro-Pathway Training does not file insurance claims, if you are uncertain of your coverage we are happy to connect you with a representative from Denial’s Managment, Inc. who can help you look through your policy and determine if our services are covered by your plan. If your plan does not include coverage for brain mapping or neurofeedback, please do not be discouraged! SYMMETRY accepts payments from Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Savings Accounts (FSA) and we offer the option to make payments. Financing SYMMETRY’S services through United Medical Credit or Enhanced Patient Finance are also viable options.
It is important to remember that insurance companies may deny your claim regardless of your coverage. It is vital to be persistent and file the claim anyway. The more insurance companies see the codes for this type of service, the more likely they are to change their policies and include coverage for NFB.
